      Getting stung or bitten by bugs is definitely no fun. Beef up your bug bite first-aid knowledge with these quick tips:
       

      Scrape the stinger.
      By using the edge of a credit card, a fingernail, or even a dull knife, push down and against the skin to push stingers completely out.

      Hands down.
      If you’re stung or bitten on your arms or legs, keep them lowered. That helps keep the venom from spreading.

      Relieve the pain.
      Take an over-the-counter pain reliever, apply an antihistamine or hydrocortisone cream to the area and cover with a cold compress for up to 15 minutes for quick relief.
